Our Animal habitats
In Room 8 today we made animal habitats. We collected natural materials from outside and things we could find in our class to create a habitat for our animals.
It was so much fun and we are really proud of the way they turned out!

Our trip to the Auckland Zoo
On Thursday 17 October Koru Whanau went to the Auckland Zoo. It was an amazing day! We saw the huge elephants, a skin shedding tuatara, we watched the keepers feeding the Spider monkeys and the playful otters. Some of us saw the seal lions being fed and the lions sleeping. We learnt some interesting facts from our about the native birds in the Forest area.

Our Autumn scavenger hunt!
Today we had an Autumn scavenger hunt. With a partner, we ran around the field looking for red, yellow and green leaves, a twig, an acorn, bark, a blade of grass and a flower.
Look at how much fun we were having!
Here we are with all of our Autumn treasures that we found.
